The Hemingway District is stronger when our local businesses are connected and involved. Membership brings together more than 150 businesses to share resources, support and promote one another, participate in district events, and have a collective voice with the Village.

Joining is easy. Complete the online membership application below and submit your annual dues to become a Hemingway District member.

Membership FAQs

  • Register and pay your annual dues by December 31, 2026 to receive the Earlybird membership rate. Beginning January 1, 2027, a $25 late fee will apply, with additional fees possible for continued delinquency.

  • Dues can be paid by check, cash, or Zelle. Checks should be made payable to Hemingway District and delivered to Anastasia at Adam Doe State Farm, 177 S. Oak Park Ave., Oak Park, IL.

  • No. Annual membership dues are non-refundable.

  • Each business or organization may designate one official member representative. This can be the business owner or an employee authorized to participate on the business’s behalf.

  • Your business will be considered a non-member until your registration and dues have been received in full. Late fees will apply beginning January 1, 2027.

  • Yes, for select events. Non-members must complete an event participation form and pay the applicable event fee. Current members participate in major annual district events at no additional cost.

  • Complimentary district event participation, promotion through Hemingway District social media and the website, and the opportunity to host a Monthly Happy Hour are reserved for current members.

  • Friends of Hemingway is a membership option for district residents who want to support the Hemingway District but don’t own a business. Residents can join for $40 annually. Current business members who refer a new Friend of Hemingway receive a $5 discount on their next annual membership dues.
