After a summer of construction, Oak Park Avenue is getting ready to reopen—and we’re marking the occasion with a community block party in the Hemingway District.
Join us Saturday, November 14, from 8 AM–8 PM for a full day of fun throughout the district. Bring your family, tell your friends, and grab your wheels—bikes, scooters, rollerblades, and skateboards are all welcome.
Here’s what’s planned:
Bike the Avenue — Bring your bikes, scooters, rollerblades or skateboards and enjoy the newly paved Oak Park Ave before she reopens!
Live music — We’ll have live music and entertainment throughout the day.
Classic cars — Check out a lineup of classic cars along the Avenue in the morning!
Food + drinks — Grab something from your favorite local spots while you explore the district.
Shop local — Visit Hemingway District businesses, discover something new and get a head start on holiday shopping.
Kids’ fun — We’ll have family-friendly activities throughout the event.
And more — More activities and event details are still to come.
Whether you come for an hour or make a day of it, On the Road Again is a chance to reconnect with the neighborhood, support the businesses that kept going through construction, and celebrate what’s ahead.
More info coming soon. Save the date: Saturday, November 14!
